Strange Creeking Sound

My 06 sedan is making a creeking sound which I'm pretty sure I have pin-pointed to where the driver side fender meets to hood hinge. I bought the car a few months ago and could tell there had been an issue with the hood edge rubbing the fender edge, after some research I found this was/is a common issue. But now there is this creeking noise which is very annoying/noticeable from inside the car while driving. When I push down on the hood corner (where it was rubbing) I can hear what seems to be that sound. Should I be right to assume the noise is coming from faulty/worn out hood hinge?

Thanks guys!

Sounds like you're on the right track. First I'd lubricate both hinges and if that doesn't stop the noise replace the bad hinge.

Thanks for your reply. I've been reading into replacing the hinge(s) and it seems they are much more involved than changing your average hood hinge. Am I right when I say the whole front end and fender needs to come off just to change that hinge?
