I have a 2003 sedan, and I just replaced all of the dome lights and courtesy lights with LEDs. Everything worked fine for about a day, and then I noticed the front dome lights weren't coming on when you open the doors or unlock the car. They do come on if you push the lights to turn them on, so the bulbs are good, and they're getting some juice, just not getting signal to automatically turn on. The courtesy lights under the doors are working like they should, so it's not like the whole auto on/off thing is dead.

I tried disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 20mins or so, and that didn't help anything. I also checked all of the fuses in the driver's side footwell and in the battery compartment and nothing was blown. Anyone else have any other suggestions short of getting a new BCM or having the dealer check it out? And if I do get a BCM from a junkyard or eBay, will I need to get keys reprogrammed or do anything else?

 

Maybe the switch is in the wrong place? Check!

 

You mean the Door/Off switch up by the sunroof control? I checked that too. It's in the right position and the wires didn't get bumped loose or anything like that.

 

That happened to me too when I switched all the lights to leds. I also have a 03 and I couldn't figure it out so I just left it like it is haha
