I recently swap my 03 rear bumper to 05-06 and just picked up 05-06 trunk lid along with the tail lights but before I start to rip apart my trunk I want to know if I can add the trunk release switch like the 05-06(driver side under the taillight) and if so what else do i need to make the switch work??

 

You would have to have the intelligent key option to make it work. Since it wasn't available in 03 I'm afraid you're out of luck.

 

so that option is out but cant I wire the 05-06 switch to replaced the doggy door switch and if so anyone got any insight what wire is what??

 

So does the doggy door have a button you can push to open the trunk? If so, then all you have to do is wire in the 05 button. You'll have to move the wire(s) from the trunk lid down to under the tail light. There should be a 2-pin connector going to your existing trunk button, just use those to feed the new button, they both work the same. Wires should be a Purple and Black, or a Purple and White/Green stripe.
