Raleigh Dealer: all G35s make a front suspension creak noise; what about yours?

Took my car in to check the front end creak noise that I hear when the car goes over bumps/uneven pavement with the wheels turned (right or left), or driveways one wheel at a time. The conditions described in TSB “CREAK NOISE FROM FRONT END” trigger the creak noise I am referring to but the cause is not the low clearance between chassis and radiator support brace. The dealer could not duplicate my complaint; when I drove the car the technician clearly heard it. The technician was aware of that CREAK NOISE FROM FRONT END TSB and assertively rejected that it was the cause of the sound; he had personally fixed couple of cars that the this TSB applied to when they first came out. He kept the car overnight. The next day the update I got was that all loaner G35s that they checked and a 2005 model all made the same noise; another customer just drop that morning a G35 with same complaint, it seems that it is coming from some bushings; Infiniti said there is no fix for now. They allow me to check the 2005 model and I heard the creak sound as well, lot milder however. The final dealer diagnosis on the invoice was “Duplicated and compared noise with 5 other known good G35 sedans/Same issue in all of them/normal characteristic” they urged me to call consumer affairs, “because if it is present in every car/almost all cars, Infiniti would have to address it with a TSB”.

My concern is that in my car the creak noise is probably a lot more pronounced, it could reduce the resale value of the vehicle(s), present a much bigger problem later on, it's annoying.

There was an old tread on this subject but are there any new experiences? Fixes, etc?

i have a 2003 sedan and had front creaking (similar to the noise and scenario you're describing). i took it in to my dealer about 2 weeks ago. according to the service manager, the tech installed some kind of padding (i can't remember the material they used off the top of my head) on the cowl and now the creaking is gone - i think this was a TSB. good luck!

Very intersting! I have the creak, as does one of our members here in
Houston. I took it in once for a fix. I took a drive with the tech and he heard
it as well. It was gone when they gave it back. But now it has come back.
We need to know what the he(( is going on here!

Same here, I read something about the type of material used for the bushings, and that the creaking is normal to some extent, more so when it's cold. The dealer "lubed" something in the front end, and it still does it to some extent, but not near as noticeable, the "cold" theory does make sense, I will wait and see how it does in warmer weather.

i have my invoice in hand.

"c/s hearing creaking coming from both frt pass and drivers wheel area going over small bumps. frt cowl making noise at base of windshield. installed foam padding on cowl per bulletin ITB02-060."

prior to this visit, i brought it in another time for that creak. alas, the tech didn't hear it back then, but this tech did. good luck, guys!
