Well the reason I thought VDC instead of the LSD actually working is because I had the VDC turned off and after I completed the turn and looked down at the guage pod, I noticed the VDC was back on and I had never turned it on.

We have two different systems here. The "Vehicle Dynamic Control" system (VDC) and
the "Traction Control System" (TCS). Turning off the VDC has no effect upon the TCS,
and I don't believe you can turn the TCS off.

When you see the "slip" light come on, it's the TCS doing it's thing, not the VDC,
When you see the "VDC" light come on, VDC is in operation.

I've never seen a VDC light aside from the one that tells you VDC is disabled. The only lights I've seen are ABS and SLIP, right in the middle, and when I've been sliding and VDC kicks in to correct, it's still the "SLIP" light that illuminates. The same one that illuminates when power is cut when taking off too fast at a light or something.

OK, then when the VDC jumps in it triggers the ABS.

VDC on = slip light blinks when there is a loss of traction.
VDC off = no light comes on even when i span out of control

You can turn the traction control completely off if you remove the ABS fuse under the hood.
