G35 Bose System? where is the bass?

Does anybody else notice that the bass in the Bose system sucks? When i adjust the bass from 0 to +5 there is almost no difference in sound? Is it just me? Should i go complain to the dealer? or is this just the way the Bose system sounds?

Yup, the bass response sux. It sounds clear as hell, but needs a sub. That's what I'm going to be doing next week. I have the sub and amp. I just need to figure out how to wire everything properly. The power part is easy. I am not sure how to get the incoming signal from the head unit into the amp. My amp has high level inputs but I'm sure there is a more elegant solution than tapping the rear speaker wires.

What you hear is what you get.

Hence, the nicknames "Blose" stereo, and B.O.S.E. (Buy Other Stereo Equipment).

Check out the forums on interior/stereo mods - there are several threads regarding ways to improve the performance of the stock head unit, from simply changing to better speakers up to installing all manner and size of additional amps, subs, etc.

Whenever I get tired of the sound quality, I just push the load pedal and the VQ engine quickly reminds me of the tune the car was playing when I became "sold" on the G.

Good luck !

Save your self alot of time and just ditch the bose amp completely. Get a nice set of amps and install those on the back of the seat. I would recommend getting a nice set of components for the front as well as a sub. Your new system will shock you with its clarity and not cost too much ( depending on what you install). However you still wont have any bass or treble control.

It's a Bose system, what did you expect? No highs, no lows, it must be Bose!
