Hopefully hes talking about Lectramotive or whatever its called. Its an electrical contact cleaner made by CRC. They also make Brakleen and stuff.

Yeah, crc MAF cleaner, ok so i just thought about something, when I got the car someone had allready put in the metra kit and an aftermarket stereo, ok so thats a seperate circuit board correct? If so then something is making my climate controls blip and come on and off in the morning as if it was the original radio

It's my understanding that if you disconnect the MAF sensor with the car running or if you turn the key to "on" while it is disconnected, you must go thru a "re-learn" procedure. Don't ask me what it is, I just remember reading that hear somewhere.

BTW: ONLY use a cleaner for MAF! You can destroy them by using "brake cleaners" or "contact cleaners" .

WOW! 10 years is a helluva long time for a battery in a G! I have to change mine every 30-36 months, which seems to be about the norm for the G.

I got about the same, even with an Optima Red Top. 3-4 years max.

Thumbs up

I bought my car in 2013 on December 13th on a Friday. So much for Friday the 13th being a bad luck day (I never believed Friday the 13th being bad luck anyway). My car was 8 years young when I bought it and after looking it over I could tell the battery had never been changed. The previous owner traded it in for a corvette and it had just over 25,000 miles when I bought it.

I've had it for 2 beautiful years now and have done some mods with more to come. I noticed the battery worked harder to start my car but, upon checking the volts everything looked good. Twice it wouldn't start and I needed a jump (once when I got off from work) after changing the battery everything is good. I've driven many cars from Ferraris to Porsches, Maseratis (which I'll be owning shortly) but, the first gen G coupes have a body that is NEVER going out of style, it will forever be beautiful and the right mods will only make it more beautiful. I pity those that get rid of their G only to regret the decision. However, new owners bring new ideas some good and some bad. What I love most about my coupe is one, it gives me what I need and not all those unnecessary things I don't, two, it's a drivers car. The harder you drive it, the better it gets. Three, with the right mods, it can hold its own against cars costing much more and still prevail. Just like so many others I enjoy driving it everyday. Long live the G.
