Add Wood in Good Taste
Most of the wood kits seem "too much" and the stick on the surface look with "raw" edges seems too kit like. Also, one just can't do that to a leased car.
So, my solution is to add wood only to the (horizontal) strip in the center on the dash - to the left and right of the gauge cluster. Covered the accessory outlet **** in matching leather for added refinement. See photos ...

Cost about $50
Got the piece (actualy 3 pieces) from one of the outfits that sells auto wood kits for the G35. The outfit - need to look up which one, but several are out there - offered this trim as part of a huge kit (dozens and dozens of pieces). I called them up and they sold me just the sub-set I wanted for about $50 bucks. It matches the factory wood exactly and has a self adhesive strip on back. Installation took about 3 minutes. If one grows tired if it, just peel it off.
BTW - I had the sport w/ Ti trim. Got the rest of the factory wood from a forum member that bought the kit ... but his girlfrind wouldn't let him put it in. Pun intended. Thought the "all silver" look was too cold for me.

number2... nice (not literally) strip and good idea! i agree about the wood overload with some of those kits. i also have the factory wood and it is just right. i like the wood trim for the willow interior to continue that luxury look, while for the graphite, i prefer the titanium to get that sporty look.

Number 2 I might also look at doing this. If you can get me the info of what exactly you ordered and from who I would appreciate it.

Did you have to remove the black trim pieces that are already in the dash prior to installing the wood trim pieces?
