Navigation won't stay up

My navigation in my 05 g35x won't stay up. I have to keep pressing the button until it eventually stays up and works, usually about 5-15 times. It's getting pretty annoying and I have no idea why it happens. Does this happen to anybody else?

Might be the Nav motor going out. Does the screen come on at all?

Mine G35 coupe had a similar problem when I bought the car, but my nav screen would stay blank after it goes up, then go back down right away after pressing the button. No easy fix except to replace the entire NAV/stereo deck which costs about $350 on ebay.

Yeah it goes on and works perfectly it just takes a few times before it will actually stay up.

It's a motor in the 05 that raises it? In my 04 its literally just a spring.

Yeah it's a motor in the 05s. I love it even though it doesn't work most of the time lmao

I would suspect the button on top might be failing and sticking?

Mine does the same thing. Havent really found a fix tho. All I do is once it goes up about an inch I push it back down and then it goes up and stays up.
