05 g35 sedan 6mt Windows randomly roll down
Oh the frustrations. Let me start by saying I have read FAQ's and used the search and found similar issues but nothing identical to mine. Please HELP
Out of the blue randomly one morning i noticed my windows were all rolled down. I know I locked the vehicle and the windows were up when I went to sleep. I thought maybe i accidentally left my key fob in a position were the down key was held, but I only wish that was the case.
I removed the battery from my key fob for my vehicle and the windows still ended up rolling down on their own. There is no set amount of time it when it happens or rhyme or reason why. I removed the drivers side door panel, disconnected the power switch assembly and even the connecters to the doorhandle/lock. I reassembled everything in hopes maybe i could reset whatever the problem is, but no such luck.
I have disconnected the battery and reconnected it once again hoping for some kind of reset, but nope windows still randomly roll down.
The doors stay locked but all of the windows roll down. I read somewhere that it could be a front door (drivers side door to be exact) key cylinder switch malfunctioning, but I have looked for a DIY and/or replacement part and CAN NOT find one. I dont think it is the BCM because everything else is working fine. Can someone please offer some suggestions as I am just praying for no rain at this point until I can get the problem resolved.

Why not call your dealer b/c I had that situation but after my driver door was jimmied open and I had a break in. The dealer informed me that was a function on some models. I didn't know I had it. After the body shop repaired my door it stopped doing it. Nor does it do it at all now. Perhaps the door actuator is the problem. Good Luck. I hate that feature, if I have it. It's a real pain b/c for a few days I couldn't drive anywhere and leave my car b/c the windows would roll down.
So I had this problem in an 03 Maxima I used to own. I narrowed it down to the door lock on the outside, where you insert your key. If you insert your key and unlock the door, and hold in that position, the windows will roll down. I noticed mine would do it after running thru a high pressure car wash, so I assumed something was getting wet inside.
I think we resorted to unplugging the main window switch to keep them rolled up. Just left it in the center console so we could plug it in real quick if the windows needed to be rolled down.
