Differential question?

Will a 2012 manual 370z differential fit my 2006 sedan auto?

I'm going to try to be more specific. ....its the rear differential (carrier assembly) its off a 370z 2012 manual. Would it fit my 06 auto sedan? Looked around here but nothing specific on newer models. Please help
Thanks in advance.

For the correct answer to your question check with the parts manager at your local Nissan dealership...Gary

Ok, so I spoke to the local dealer parts counter and the gentleman behide the counter looked at me like he saw a ghost. He had no idea what I was talking about. I guess modding is not his specialty. I need someone who did this mod with newer diffs to chime in please.

Yes, it will bolt up. It's a common swap to get the 370Z/G37 6MT 3.69 final drive ratio. (the auto models have a different ratio and different input flanges) Your 06 sedan auto has a 3.3 FD ratio, so you'll probably notice a big difference in acceleration. Only possible issue is that your speedo will be wrong.
