I recently bought a 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan and the engine started to knock 3,000 miles later due to oil starvation, the engine apparently burned oil very fast.
Bought a replacement engine for 950$ that had 85k miles on it and it blows oil too, like there's puffs of smoke and it smokes on idle.
My dad went and looked at another 2005 engine with 125k miles and it was still in the car and it knocked and smoked too.
Where can I find a good running used engine for my g35 that is of reasonable price? I look online and see a bunch of used engines but no description on how they run. Also can't find ANY rebuilt/reconditioned motors online either?
Try Dallas JDM Motors 817-652-0300
I purchased a 2.5 nissan engine for my altima with 48k miles almost 2 years ago. This engine is solid and doesn't burn oil.
Front and rear cameras, tire pressure for all four tires can display on screen, folding side view mir

Instead of trying to find a used engine why not try to find a qualified engine rebuilding shop that can rebuild the engine you already have?
With a thirteen year old vehicle I don't think it makes financial sense because even if you spend the money on an engine repair there are a lot of other items that can fail and involve costly repairs.
If you are ever involved in an accident after spending a ton of money on your vehicle your insurance company won't care how much money you've spent and can total the vehicle for not very much money.
I recently replaced the engine in my 2004 6MT Sedan after the original engine ate a valve at approx. 110,000 miles, bought it online for $1,300 delivered to my driveway in California. Came from a car in Pennsylvania reported to have only 59,000 miles (wonder how many engines they sold using that same odometer photo), and came with a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty. Was very corroded on the outside (showing it's hard life in Pennsylvania winters) but cleaned up nicely with a wire wheel and some polish. Installed the engine and have driven it 10,000 miles now - runs strong and hard, uses approx. 1 qt of oil every 5,000 miles (normal for VQ35 DE). There are several online engine sellers, just be sure to check out their reviews. I'm very happy with my replacement.
By the way, they also steam clean the engines and fire them up on an engine stand before they place them for sale. They do a compression check on all cylinders and an oil pressure check at idle, and send those figures to you with the engine (or in my case, I asked for those test figures upfront and they emailed them to me).
You did not state your location but give Nissan Unlimited a try. They specialize in selling parts just for Nissan and Infiniti, they are based in the Houston Area but I'm more than certain that they ship anywhere in the US.
