Head light flickering after extending wires

So I was doing the driver side loom and had to extend some wires, one being the headlight plug. After I was done I started the car and turned the lights on to make sure thay worked and the driver side is now flickering. I checked the new grounding location and made sure the plug was all the way snapped in but it is still flickering. I use 18g wire for all the wires I extended. Could I have blow the balast or build or is the wording need to be the same gauge as the existing wires for it to work properly?

Front and rear cameras, tire pressure for all four tires can display on screen, folding side view mir
Undo what you did

The ECM and IPDM are no longer seeing normal.
The current and resistance values have changed

Read the FSM lighting section

Ok thanks. If I use the same size wire as what's on the harness would I be ok.

18 gauge is way too small.

You'll have to use the same gauge wire and ideally solder the connections

I fixed it. Turns out one of my solder connections broke and I didn't catch it before wrapping up last night so I cut out the bad spot and re-soldered the wire. Everything is working like I should now.

Solder and then shrink tube it next time. It won't go anywhere.

That's what I was planning on but I had already cut wires when I found out the shrink tubing I had was no longer good. It looked like it was half trunk on one side.

18G is still way to small. That's a fire hazard waiting to happen when that wire heats up from having too much current drawn thru it.

Equivalent of what is there now. Since I don't know what wire harness you extended, I can't comment further on it
