05 coupe headlights Amber lens and clearance strip

Hi I tried to post on the diy sub forum but somehow I am not able to post there. Anyways I'm blacking out the housing on my 05 coupe headlights and was wondering if there is any site I could buy a replacement lens for the Amber turn signal and also a replacement plastic for the clearance strip since it's turning somewhat yellow (just to make this mod somewhat easier ) . I was also thinking of just tinting the Amber turn signal and clearance strip for an easier solution anybody try this if so, how was the lighting ? Thanks for any help !

Don't tint the amber turn signals you can buy lenses from here, The Retrofit Source. As for the clearance strip I am not sure where and if they sell them separately. I have seen people solder LED's throughout the strip but I'd just recommend you black out the clearance strip and cut the power strip to avoid that ugly yellow haze.

I measured mines awhile back and forgot the measurement...I want to say 2.5 then 3 but I might be confusing it with the projector lenses, also I had 06-07 Projectors so not sure if the turn signal size differs from 03-05. To be sure just measure it when the headlights disassembled. Either way TRS has a good return policy if you just want to order the 2.5 and it doesn't fit return it.

Not sure what color you car is but you can do something similar to this with your clearance strip

That looks awesome! I have a diamond graphite g, bought it off someone here on the forums lol they took great care of it but they took off the 06 projectors and sold them separately so I'm trying to clean up the old headlights he put back on . I also just ran into this not sure if anybody has experience with this product or how easy it is to install http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...ncestrips.aspx If I do just end up painting the clearance strip like the picture you posted is there a spray can that has almost exact color as the diamond graphite ?

Save some money to purchase some projectors in the future, they really do give the car a nicer look. As for what you linked, it's just a LED strip i think. You can find them at autozone or other online stores. They don't replace the hazy clearance strip, you just place them behind it.

Also found this below. He painted the clearance strip DG, this is the thread Painting Clearance Strip

Was debating to either paint the clearance strip itself, or paint the glass that goes over the strip (meaning it would look like the pic I put up in the OP, or it would look like a textured strip. went with the latter). Looks pretty close to my car color too.

except now the led in my strip only lights it up 3 inches and comes to a complete stop lol o well

Why do they call that a clearance strip...I thought it was a reflector?
