Upgraded to the 04 coupe Brembo's. Found a pair for $150 each on Rockauto that were remanufactured with brand new pistons and seals.
I did the front only. Here is the parts you need:
2 Front Brembo Calipers (left & right side) $300 for pair
1 Pair of Stainless Steel Stoptech Braided Lines $48
Front Brake Pads of Your Choice $30 (Stoptech Posi-Quiet Pads)
1 Quart of DOT 3 Brake Fluid $8
2 Stoptech Drilled Rotors $185
Total = $571 plus $100 for paint at a bodyshop
Also I had a bodyshop paint and clearcoat the calipers in dark silver metallic for $100. Everything bolts right up. No adapters needed. Also the factory caliper bolts work with the Brembos on the front. If you do the rear, you need the coupes rear caliper bolts. Everything was easy going. Bleeding the calipers was a pita but I bought a brake bleed vacuum kit that took care of it right away.
HUGE difference vs the small stock sedan calipers. I have to be careful now with how much brake force I apply. I love mods like this where I actually see results. Stopping distance has decreased dramatically and I no longer have the spongy pedal feel thanks to the stainless steel lines
Also need to add that you must upgrade to stainless steel lines or use the brake lines from the coupe equipped with Brembos. The sedans brake lines do not work with the Brembos
wish I knew this a few months ago. just did my front rotors and pads and would have put on the brembos had I known they could be had for relatively little....

which SS lines are you suppose to get? SS lines for the coupes or any in general? part numbers by any chance?
Also... i just looked it up, they have cores did you just send in your non-brembo one in.
Looks good! What size are the new rotors? And did you need different caliper brackets, or did the Brembo's bolt on to the existing brackets?
From the OP's post (below the parts list): "Everything bolts right up. No adapters needed. Also the factory caliper bolts work with the Brembos on the front. If you do the rear, you need the coupes rear caliper bolts."
For the stainless steel lines just use the sedan or coupe stainless steel lines. If you use the rubber lines, you use the coupes lines.
Rotors are 13". Not as big as the 14" rotors on the G37 Akebonos but I found the Brembo calipers to have more of an agressuve bite compared to the G37 Akebonos.
I didnt send my core to Rockauto because they only accept the same core return.
nice.
cardone has them on their website,
can get anywhere i assume.
wish they would fit the 05x. I think you could do it, but would need new 06 front knuckles and ? if they fit the 05.

The only part I'm unsure about is master cylinders. These tend to be sized to the calipers on the car (ratio of master vs slave area) but I think it's been done with good results

the brakes are bigger on 06x vs 05x. I just checked, there are different parts and different knuckles for each year

Plenty of 03-04 guys upgrade to 05-06 brake parts. They simple remove the caliper and rotor and bolt on the bigger stuff. None ever report anything different with the knuckle that involve modification.
Look into it, it's been done plenty of times. 05 AWD got stuck with the 03-04 brakes for some off reason. Mounting points of the calipers should all be the same. It's the hardware bolts to it that differs.
