I was noticing a vibration sound coming from that on spot. I popped the hood one day and seen where the NWP TB was rubbing on the hood. The black housing of the TB even has dents where the hood would hit. I hit it with a hammer before but looked tacky. So I cut it off and going to add a black edging so it looks neat.

You can see the marks where it was rubbing

Thanks for the update. How's the performance, are the gains really noticeable with both these upgrades and, can you do a how to when you fabricate something for the hole you're going to remedy.

I cleaned up my sedan today. Going with the wife on about 1.5 hour drive in the morning to an Infiniti dealer to check out a 2017 QX50. She likes them and I think they are a steal. 3.7L VQ with ~330hp and the 7 speed AT. They have 27 on the lot and the prices keep falling because they are a 10 year old design and all the new stuff has more tech.

If I can get a good deal we might come home with one, but they will have to give me a good price.

They seem like long wheel base lifted G sedans, same suspension, steering as a G also.

I'm not able to look under my hood right now but iirc the TB mounts a are square. It could be possible to clock the TB 90 or even 180 degrees to make it fit.

They got a wholesale closeout sale on rock Auto for the sedans. Just bought wipers and a valve cover gasket for $20 including shipping. Check it out.

Yes I noticed a huge gain with the TB and Plenum spacer. A week after installing I got the car tuned because after the installation I began to run lean at WOT. I'm at 255whp & 238wtq. But I have every Bolt on except headers. I have a 04 so don't need the Mrev lower Plenum as it's the same. Just theirs is polished and ported a little.

My next move is Admin 3.5 Intake and porting both upper and lower Plenum and runners. Should jump up to about 275-280whp.

Nice! That's about 337 crank hp. It's just like getting a brand new g37.

Picked up my G from the tuner today. The vortech bumped me from around d 260hp to 402hp. The power is nice. The weird hesitating spot at 2800rpm isn't so nice. I have to basically re-learn the shift points because it's totally different with a S/C. Have to be very careful not to labour the motor on hills, etc, because it's at the limit of stock internals. Definitely feel the gains around 3500rpm and more. Below 3000 I have to say I don't love it. The ECU still has to self- adjust to a degree and I hope that helps. Stay tuned.

One other thing I don't like is now I am throwing a false crank sensor code so the SES light is on. I even replaced the sensor and it comes back on after a reset. I took it back to the tuner and he's stumped, too. I know it's a false reading but it's still annoying. Need to address that.

The false code also seems to to trigger the VDC override and the slip light. Also annoying.

I'm having a bit of buyer's remorse right now. Going to give this a month or so of tinkering and see if it's worth keeping or going back to a n/a set up. My instrument cluster is lit like a Christmas tree and I don't like that.

Check wiring for the crank sensor. - I wonder if the installer pinched a line on it on accident.

Very easy to feel that way when things don't go perfectly to plan but, I'm sure once all the teething problems are sorted you'll be very happy you persevered and ironed out the little problems.

Yeah that's the next step.

But there's this hesitation under load ar 2800rpm that I do not like. I'm in the habit of shifting around 3000 for day to day driving. I think the S/C prefers higher revs. Maybe the driver needs a re-map.
