G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
ART pipes all the way. You'll get proven gains and a great exhaust tone to boot. Hard not to like that combination.

As long as I can pass emission testing here. No visual, just check for codes.

Motordyne 5/16" spacer today, cleaned the engine up a bit. Didn't have time to get too crazy though. Not sure what the black stuff is on top of the manifold under where the FSB crosses over, if it is oil it's fully baked in.

It is probably the lacquer coating from your strut brace, slowly heating up and falling on the plenum, and baking on there. No big deal.

100% positive that's not it. I had the engine cover on the car until today. Maybe just rubbing from the cover over time?

So im thinking about trading my wheels for some SVE wheels 18x10+35 all around with almost new tires with $100 on top. They are dark bronze. I photoshopped a pic to see how it looks like. What do you guys think?

My and my buddy polished out Plenums a few weeks ago and we both have the same marks. It is from the cover and even with using a impact with brush attached it was a nightmare to remove.

No clearance issues. I initially left the cover on, then removed it. Didn't even have to remove the strut brace to do it.

So I swapped in the smoked side marker with the supplied LED light. But now I want to swap out the chrome headlight housing for the black one I have. But was wondering if anyone knows if I was to do this will it affect my light output as I have OEM HIDs. Because no one even sells hid lights with black housing. And I'm assuming there is a reason for this. I know the back chrome reflector is different between the HID and non HID headlights.

I would toss some projectors in there since you have them already open

You are correct, the reflector is designed for HID and would not project halogen light well, as a halogen reflector would not reflect HID light well.

If you buy an eBay set of headlights, then you are able to put those clear lenses on your OEM lights. This is the best option, if you do not retrofit projectors. OEM offers the best headlight output.

I don't think I understand properly...I want to replace my chrome housing insert which is chrome. To the black one I have sitting here pictured above. I'm not replacing the back reflect for the bulb itself. Was just wondering if that would reduce my light out put any by swapping it to a non reflective black.
