Free gloves for when you crash and burn...
FWIW I've been running akebono ASP pads on Z1 drilled/slotted rotors in akebono calipers for 1.5 months now and been getting VERY little dust.
Lol. Thx guys. I'm a little surprised because every review said they were great but I guess those were not car enthusiasts so that automatically discredits their reviews. Any way, I'm going go with Centric Premium plain rotors and akebono pads. Much appreciated.
Although they're not perfect and have curb rash, I traded my Donz Montana 20s for matte grey Niche Verona 19s. I love the look and with spacers I think would look amazing.
Went to Kentucky and back to visit my kids. No issues as usual, 26-26.5 mpg with average speeds a little over 70. Also hit 150k miles on the way back today. Note the fuel level and mileage on the trip computer, I have no doubt that tank would have been pushing 27 mpg if I didn't hit Dallas at the peak of rush hour. Speed limit was 75, troopers generally don't bother if your 5 over or less.
Installed Megan Racing coilovers on my 06x. I really didn't want to get coilovers, but the uneven drop on the X model sedans drives me nuts.
All in all I didn't go for completely slammed. Just 1 finger gap all the way around. I'd say about a 1.75" drop all the way around over stock. With the crap roads here in the Northeast, I'd say the ride height is perfect now. I just wanted to close up that monster truck gap.
