Replace the clock. They pop up on ebay from time to time.

Bose CD sucks....I haven't used CD's in years. $25 amazo Bluetooth adapter all I need these days

Window rolling down means the limits need to be reset. Pretty easy to do but you'll need to pull the door panel. Takes 10 mins. Search for the window reset procedure

Going by temp needle is innacurate. Can you hook up a OBD2 reader (phone + app + Bluetooth/wifi adapter) and get real temp numbers? It's possible you are overdue a coolant flush and the a/c is shutting off as the temp climbs.

Without NAV, there is no MPG display. Top off the tank, reset the trip mileage. Go drive around, then return to the same pump and top it off again. Record the number of gallons you pump and the miles you driven and you should be somewhere around 15-20MPG most likely with mixed driving.

Oil filter hose leaking coolant or oil? If coolant, add or replace the clamp. If it's oil, the oil cooler o-ring is leaking. Cheap part, and you can do it next oil change. 22mm socket IIRC removed the cooler bolt that the oil filter screws onto.

Driver seat gears wear out. Rockauto.com sells replacement gears.

Honestly, sounds like whoever owned the car before just didn't care and let everything pile up. I had several of the same issues as you, but took care of them as they reared their head. Suspension-wise, at 172K miles the only failure I had was the inner, lower control arm bushings. And those were a cheap and easy fix to be honest. All the rest of my balljoints and such are still in great shape.

I'd still be driving the car if the front driveshaft universal didn't fail on me.

I'm going through the same thing right with my 04x now. Save some time and money and go to tollboothwillies and buy the white line bushing set. I messed up and bought them individually and it cost me. look up the aluminum slash shield to I think their the only ones that have it for the x. I've dropped $1400 so far in parts and labor just for the front end and it's only on the driver side front. I still have the passenger side front to do and then the rear.

I manage to fix the ball joints got it from Concept Z performance for 69 a piece and I also bought kyb shocks for 49 a piece. Car ridesgood.
I got a buddy who works at a service tech at Honda so he did it for me after hours for 100 bucks.
I also scored brand new 235/45/17 falkens ziex for 400 new at my local tire shop.
Guess what though? I listed the car for sale 2 weeks ago just to test waters.
Its getting sold tomorrow for 5800 dollars. I bought it for 4000 dollars.
Im picking up a 2008 g35 sedan for 7800 dollars with 120k miles clean title, but I manage to talk down the guy down to 6800. Hopefully this doesn't have the same suspension problems

Don't hope the new car doesn't have the same suspensions problems. Find out.

Take a good flashlight with you and check all of it.

Update so I didn't end up getting the 2008 G35 Sedan because I came across a better deal fo. I can get a 2009 G37x Sedan with 80k miles at a private sale clean title for 8900. I got her down to
8500 and she won't budge any lower. Yes its a woman that owns this thing lol
I'm really going out of my budget and I need your guys help with something I will explain below.

Its pearl white. Interior is cream which I don't like, but not really picky about interior colors.
Checked out car fax, vehicle history and checks out good.
The only issue it has is the tire pressure light is on. The owner told me it has something to do
with the tire valve stem, she wasn't too knowledgeable about it,but the car is out of warranty.
It ended at 70k miles. Also she doesn't know which tire valve stem is causing the light on the car..
It doesn't seem to affect her driving she says and the psi on her tires are never too low.
Any clues?

Good to know! I haven't closed up the deal yet since we couldn't find anyone to notarize
the title and they were mobile notary guys on CL,but they are charging way to much.
I will check evaluate the vehicle again tomorrow for engine gasket leaks completely forgot about that.
I check the suspension, control arms, tie rods, ball joints. They are clean and no worn or torn on the bushings. I literally had to get a flashlight like what you guys said.

Here it is just purchased this earlier on today. Has some flaws like the tire pressure light is on and
driver side passenger won't lock from the keyfob.

2009 G37x for $8500?? That's a damn good deal.

I was looking at one last week with 90K on the clock and the dealer wanted $19.5K.

As for the TPMS light. Does it blink for 60 sec when you start the car and then stay solid, or is it always solid.

Did you check the spare? usually there isn't a sensor there, but I've seen people buy a full size spare and then do a swap when they need tires, but never reprogram the TPMS.

There is a way to read the TPMS codes to find out which sensor is bad. These sensors really only last about 5-6 years before the batteries in them die. Possibly one is dead. I wouldn't worry about it too much. People have driven 100 years without TPMS and have lived (unless you drove a ford explorer with firestone tires)

Yeah its hard to believe, but she was letting it go for cheap, car ran clear through car fax, no accidents, no bags deployed, no liens absolutely perfect and good thing I waited because I was so close to getting a 08 g35 yesterday which had 129k miles.

Which year are you getting? Its weird how the 2008 g35 vs 2009 g37 looks exactly the same. Aside from the engine.

Yes it blinks and then turns solid what does it mean? I mentioned on my previous comments that the lady I bought it form mentioned something about the tire valve stem.
She wasn't sure which one,but let me know what you think. Thanks

I was thinking about doing the same with my 06 G35x. Selling it for around $6k then add some cash and get a decent 08 or 09 G37. Problem is I invested too much money into this car to know it will be reliable for another 100K miles. I could go and buy a G37 and end up with a car that could potentially break down or had been previously abused. Plus I wouldnt even get any returns in money on the mods done to the car and maintenence I performed. So might as well keep it for now. Something about the 05-06 body style just looks great and hasn't aged at all.

Great deal though!!

I was looking at 2009+ and kinda settled in on a few of the 2010+'s due to the different front grill and hood. In the end, I decided to keep money in my pocket and just buy something cheap. So my primary daily driver is no longer an Infiniti I was going to sell my '06 for parts, but I think I'm going to give it an honest try to fix it.

Anyway, blink than solid means TPMS fault. The TPMS sensors are actually part of the tire valve stems. Take a look at the 4 on your wheels. Are they solid metal stems, or are there soft rubber stems? Solid metal are part of the TPMS sensor, so if one of them is rubber, than you are missing a sensor.

If they are all metal, then you will need to locate the TPMS ground under the dash and ground it to start the TPMS light blinking the codes to tell you what sensor is in fault. Of course, if the tires have been rotated since, the fault stored could be incorrect.

Honestly, take it by your local tire chain place and ask them to look into it. You do not need to go to the dealer these days.

Or if you want to try it yourself

I kinda outline the code reading in post 29. it's an '06 I'm doing it on but I believe it remained the same in the newer years

Tokiko blue is what the car comes on from the factory.
Never in my life have I heard something about OEM parts not lasting 6 months to a year.
OEM is the company that makes the FACTORY PARTS, they always last the longest.
In the case of these cars, Tokiko makes them for Nissan.

Its just a sensor... they can be easily replaced.
