Well, I ended up buying a new car. 2014 Ford Taurus Limited. I know...complete 180 there, but it's a black/black leather model with all the toys. I'm loving the MyFord Touch, and I got it cheap. I looked at a new G37x, but the model I wanted was $25K or so. With kids, and new house, I chose the more practical car that I can fit a TON into, and cheaper so I can spend my money on more important stuff these days like the kids and house. Most importantly, it feels good to have a new vehicle again that I can put gas in and go and not have to worry about what part I need to fix next.

BUT

I kept the G35. They didn't even want it as a trade as they said with the miles and having to tow it in it wasn't worth anything to them. So...I'm gonna fix it. First thing I need to do is get under there and really see what the damage is. I noticed a wet spot under the pinion, so I need to check that out. I'm not giving up yet...and as you can see, I'm still here. I'm away for the weekend, so i'll dig into it more next week.
