Recently changed the trans filter and replaced what trans fluid that was drained from my 05 G35 sedan 116k miles. About 3.5 qts. I used a castrol synthetic "J" compatible trans fluid.
I thought the fluid level was correct but after checking the level cold a couple of days later I realized I over filled it after getting DTC 1759.

Searching I found this
- Faulty Front Brake Solenoid Valve
- Front Brake Solenoid Valve harness is open or shorted
- Front Brake Solenoid Valve circuit poor electrical connection

P1759 2005 Infiniti G35 Description
Front brake solenoid valve is controlled by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the PNP switch, vehicle speed sensor and accelerator pedal position sensor (throttle position sensor). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position.

I sucked out to the proper level between the 2 notches cleared the code and took it for a ride. NO CEL but it still slips in 1st gear.

How much damage do you think I did?
Anyone else have this issue and know the solution or have some experiance with this? TIA
Sounds like I need a TCU in the trans.

After digging in further I put in the wrong trans fluid. Castrol Transmax CVT and not just Castrol Transmax. Grrrrrrr
