RWD Engine in an AWD G35?

Hey guys, so I own a 2004 Infiniti g35 (AWD). We had engine problems and were told to get a new one. After months of searching we finally found one at a great price, only to find out that it's a 2003 RWD g35... Is there anyway that this will fit into my car? My dad is ready to toss my g35 if this doesn't work, and im not on board with that. I don't care if my car has to be changed to a rwd as well, is there any way? Please let me know asap, he wants to get rid of it this weekend if it won't work!

So long as the motor is the 03.5+ motor it should work. Earlier 03s had the clutch cooling fan on the front.

In addition, for the RWD motor to fit, you will need to swap the upper and lower oil as they are different for the AWD and RWD motors. You will need to do further research and see which specific motor is being offered and which parts would need to be swapped around for the swap to be successful.

Hope this helps.

The block itself is the same, however the oil pans are different. The AWD oil pan has an opening for the front driveshaft to fit thru. If you can handle swapping the oil pan, everything else should work for you.

Yes its possible. I have a 2004 g35x and I have a 2006 get red. I took the block and heads and transmission and put it in the 06 get. I have to use the upper oil pan and the drive shaft link and put them in the 06
