Hey guys so I've owned this car (2005 sedan) for about 2 years going on 3 and ever since I bought it around the defrost vents it's very sticky, any idea on what causes this or how to get rid of it? It looks gross, or is it just a product of Texas heat 😓

Product of Texas heat. Get some windshield tint and/or put up a windscreen reflector when parked.

OP use a good vinyl/plastic cleaner then coat your dash with Aerospace 303 protectant. https://www.goldeagle.com/product/30...ace-protectant

Might not get rid of the sticky issue but will prevent it from getting any worse. I can't say enough great things about the 303, it's a fantastic product.

It's so damn hot my car is melting!! and yeah I've been using a shade for awhile. But just recently I feel like it's gotten worse cause it's been sticking the the dashboard, luckily hasn't pilled off anything, but I do have some paper stuck on there from a parking garage tag lol. And I'll have I look into that product see if it can help. Thank you guys!

The video is no longer available sadly.
I too have a horribly sticky dash in my newly acquired g35 from texas.
I can not find a product or thread on here that will remove the stickiness.
Can you help a Newcomer out ???
Much appreciated.

Second. I have this issue too...TN here so basically same weather as at least half of TX. Probably going to just cover mine but would be nice if I could clean off the sticky film. I've tried goo gone, etc and no luck.
