replaced clock spring now turn signals & headlights don't work

I replaced the clock spring in my 06 g35 sedan today. All steering wheel controls now work again, the wiper switch works great, but my turn signal/headlight switch does not work. I disassembled the steering wheel again to access the clock spring and made sure the turn signal switch connection is good. Also checked the fuses and they are good. I'm stumped...

Any suggestions?

put old clock spring back on and turn signal switch/headlights/fog-lights work again. Any one experienced this before? Guessing new clock spring is defective...
