Question Burning Out

How do you burn out so that you are flying off the line in an AUTO? I think you guys were talking about torque braking? What is that? Any other options to fly off the line?

Launching In Our Auto Sedan Sucks, But The Best Way Is To Torque Braking, That Is Where You Press The Brake And Gas At The Same Time(w/o Vdc) Then Releasing The Brake And Gunning It. Our Autos Only Alolw Us To Torque Brake At Around 2-2500rmp B4 They Lose Tracking And Begin To Smoke. So We Cant Launch Quite Well. Thats Why I Like To Race From A Rolling Start!!

i disagree..


i have noticed that it actually hesitates when you torque brake it before it takes off

i put mine in 3 on manual and hold the brake

then just floor it and let off the brake

best 60 times



for burnouts just push both of them down really hard

Not that I recoimmend it, nor am I going to try it on mine to see if they prevent it somehow.... but...

In my younger days, what we would do to burn rubber in an auto was simple.
Put it in nuetral, lay into the gas pedal, and slam it in to drive.....

Hey Court, schweeet ride. Love the black on 350Z track rims look. Hey I got a kwik question for you. How does the sedan feel with Tein S-techs? You have sport suspension right? So if you have sport how does the ride quality feel? (bumpy?, rough?, feel alot of bumps?, or smooth, etc.?)

Thanks, The Ride Quality Is Nice, It Still Feels Like A Stock Suspension, But On Certian Surfaces You Tend To Feel The Bumps More, But Thats The Price You Pay.

Probably still the only way to do it in FWD autos; the brakes are too strong up front to torque brake in a FWD (in most cases)

Also probably the BEST was to shaft your tranny Not that torque braking is great either, but the 'slam it into drive' method puts a ridiculous amount of stress on all components including engine mounts too, whereas torque braking will just fry your torque converter after a while.

FWD you can pull up the e-brake then floor it.

stech are nice height but way too soft in the back feels like you might just roll over in a turn sometimes

court how out of wack was you camber with those s techs. Did yo have to get a kit? or where you able to get it back into specs with an alignment?

Buy a G35X and turn off VDC and floor it. THis car launches pretty darn good. Alot better than my 03 Maxima did anyway, and that was strong off the line. I guess having the all wheel drive helps a little.
