Question Door Post Chrome Molding

A few months ago I saw a G sedan on the showroom floor at Millenium Infiniti in LI with aftermarket chrome posts that fill in the rest of the black columns along the doors. (see the pick below, the red circles was where the chrome posts were added on.

I asked about them and they want $595 for them, installed.

That's insane for three pieces of chrome stuck to the body with doublesided tape!!!

But it did look hot. I searched everywhere for them but haven't found them anywhere else.

Anyone know where I can get them or what I'm talking about?

Thanks!

I kinda have mixed feels about it. but it does make my car stand out...

being that it should only be a $20 piece of chrome, I figured if I hated it I could rip it off with goo-gone.

I like the chrome trim around the windows. Kinda makes the car look classy. However, on a black car, I would want either black chrome or no chrome at all. With Diamond Graphite, the chrome looks fine. I also like the black sections on the door. Putting chrome there kinda reminds me of what a domestic company would do to "snazzy up" an otherwise blah car.

While we are on the subject, does anyone know where you can get those black chrome badges? I am going to debadge, but I want to keep the Mt Fuji logo on the trunk to break it up. I think a dark chrome one would look awesome on a DG sedan. I'd also like to replace the grill badge with dark chrome. It will match the new grill better.

I love chrome trim around the windows. It gives the car a more classy, solid look. Regular black, plastic trim looks cheap and dull. Take any classic car, strip of the chrome trim, and it just doesn't look near as good.
