High RPMs
High RPMs
Ok so I have a problem with my RPMs not matching engine speed and it only happened today when I was leaving work. I have a 6mt if that helps. If anyone knows what that is please let me know
RPM and engine speed are the same thing.. do you mean the tachometer isn't displaying what you think the engine is spinning at? If you press the gas do the RPMs rise but your wheel speed stays the same? Gunna need a bit more info on this one.
Lmao yeah the tach is what I was trying to say, thanks. Yeah when I accelerate the tach goes up a little higher than usual. Could it be the MAF possibly?
You might have a vacuum leak, check the air intake for leaks, unscrew the PCV valve and make sure it rattles when you shake it, check the PCV hoses on both valve covers and the balancer tube between valve covers for any cracks or loose fittings which might indicate a leak. Once you're sure there isn't a leak perform the idle air reset (best would be to perform ALL resets) as shown here:

Use a timer, the seconds counts need to be exact.
