My AT check light blinks when my car starts for about 20 seconds then turns off. When in drive it acts like it's starting in 2nd or 3rd gear with absolutely no power going to the wheels until about 40 mph. If I take the foot off the brake it doesn't even move unless I give it gas. Anyone have any tips?

 

Have you checked the fluid? How many blinks?

 

If the level is correct and it still blinks you have a problem that needs to be checked out. Most likely a valve body but no way to tell through an online post.

 

It's acting like it's not wanting to rev match when it shifts gears. Like a sensor is going bad, but it's only with the first three gears.

 

Take it to a reputable transmission shop and find out what code it's sending. Usually those guys can just go for a short drive and guesstimate what the problem is though.
