Wink Help needed with finding suspension!!!!!

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you all could help out a bit. I have been searching and searching the past month and a half for a 04+ 350z suspension.

If you maybe run across an ad somewhere or hear about something, please let me know. Just shoot me an link or reply here.
Apparently no 350z owners are getting their suspensions swapped out.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks
mike

Here's the big problem and if you've already heard me give you this head's up, this is for everyone else's benefit. You have to get them to look at one of their front and rear shocks and reply with the part numbers stamped on the shock bodies. Why? Because not all 2004 350Z's have a REAL 04 suspension. Many of the 04 suspension's that have come up for sale are actually the unrevised 2003 suspension's, your after a 2004 Z suspension for a reason, IMPROVED ride quality. I know of two member's with sedan's that were told they were getting a 04 Z suspension and they actually got a unrevised 2003 setup, one of those car's I had at my house to install Tokico D-specs on. Which brings me to plan B. If you can't find a real revised 2004 oem 350Z suspension, just buy the springs and buy Tokico D-specs. Yes I know it's more money, but they are superior to even the revised 04 Z shocks, double adjustable dampning too.

If you need help with what Z shock part numbers to look for and which part numbers to AVOID, pm me. I don't like to post the numbers in public to cut down on the chance of a less then honest seller getting wise.

Ya know, I'd hate to think that the low surpressed prices that oem Z suspension's sell for is what cause's them to not bother blowing off the dust their collecting in the garage and replying. Thing is, the higher the selling price, the closer you are to just buying D-specs instead.

silver04 - I am in exactly the same situation as you. I actually had a purchase on what was thought to be a revised 04 suspension all lined up, then the guy realized his part numbers were from the older version. (Thanks to Gsedan35 for his advice!) So definietely check the part numbers.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm not sure what the deal is as far as the limited supply. Either they are just throwing away the old setup or it is sitting collecting dust.

I've called three performance shops here in Houston, none of them wanted to touch the topic. I asked if they had any laying around and that I would buy them and have them install. They all responded to me trying to sell me some Tein Flex or HKS setups.

Ummmm HELLO...I want to save money not spend 5 times as much. Guess they are only in it for the buck.

Oh well...my search will go on, but not much longer. I figure if I can't find a setup by the end of the month, then the D-specs will be bought with 350z springs.

Thanks
mike
