Hey guys, just as the name suggests, I know next to nothing about g35s let alone mine. Bought mine used in 2013 and it was already lowered and has aftermarket shocks/struts, and I believe an aftermarket sway bar as well. It's in need of some new struts/shocks and since it's lowered, with what I don't know, I want to make sure I'm not going to purchase something that won't work. Right now it has the Tokico blue hu3747 I believe, I'll include pictures, and I've seen those are discontinued. What would be another option that has a similar feel? I don't race or anything like that but I do like to take some tighter corners and I like feeling I have more control over the car. Any help is appreciated and if there's any other things I can do to get better handling or I should replace after having the car for 5 years let me know. Thanks in advance!
Are you SURE it's lowered, because it doesn't look like it. 18" and 19" with stock size tires the wheelarch height is 27 1/4" front and 28 rear. 17" with stock size tires is 27 1/4" front and 27 1/2" rear.

I thought so, it will barely scrape right above the cement stoppers in parking spots if that helps. It does seem lowered but I can't say with 100% certainty. They are 18" wheels with Nitto Motivo in the front and I just got the rears replaced due to a screw with sailun atrezzos. Would additional pictures help? If so what would be needed? I don't have a way to get under the car besides taking it to a shop.
Stock ride height will scrape those parking lot bumpers. Gotta train yourself to stage back in the parking spot a little.
That's the number 1 reason I won't let my wife take the G to the store, she drives a truck and runs over everything, no fear of curb rash because you CAN'T rash the wheels on a 3/4 ton truck. She always parks in until she hits the sidewalk, backs up until either the tires or the tow hitch hits something, the front of my G would be destroyed the first time she drove it.

Lmao that's brutal. Yeah I've gotten pretty good at where the front of the car is so I usually stop before I hit it. I always thought it was since I was scraping and when I bought the car there was a pair of springs in the truck along with the sway bar and a air filter that the dealership removed saying it wouldn't pass smog. That being said, what would be some good shocks/struts to get that I guess would be similar feeling and not change the height much. I was looking at these and figured if I'm changing the front I may as well change them all.
That's REALLY hard to suggest without knowing exactly what's installed on the car right now. If they are Nissan springs they will have large colored dots painted on them as a sort of "code" to differentiate what springs they are. Wipe them down with a degreaser and see if you can see anything on them.
