So my transmission went took it to a mechanic got a transmission from a junk yard he installed it and when I go pick up my car I see the AWD light is on but wasn't on when I dropped it off?? Any help on what might of happened?

 

What does the transmission guy say? They usually have the OBD2 scanner to do powertrain codes for the transmission.

 

Well to be honest not to bad name or be racist but he was a Spanish mechanic had my car for a week when I went to pick it up it delayed in starting then I told him that it started just fine before I dropped it off to him took him another 2 days to figure out what he did wrong or what the issue was he replaced some sensor he said... I just didn't want to take it back to him again had a funny feeling something else would be wrong after if I had dropped it off again and who knows how long he would've kept it for

 

Take it down to a parts house and pull the code, if they can't do it then off to Nissan for a diagnostic

 

And Mexicans make great mechanics btw.

 

There is so much fail in this comment. WTF does it matter if he's Spanish, Asian, White, Black or any other nationality/color? He's a freaking mechanic, some are good and some not so much. If you're not happy with him then take the damn car to Nissan and pay their diagnostic fee to find out exactly what's wrong. But there's a good chance they might have a "Spanish" mechanic or 2 there as well so there's that.....

 

Now I'm curious to know if he was Hispanic or an actual Spaniard.
