VDC OFF and SLIP lights coming on

Hello, I have a 2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan that’s been giving me some trouble. The check engine light is on and whenever I’m driving, the car randomly stops giving me any power when I press the accelerator and the VDC off and slip lights come on. In order to get the VDC off and slip lights to go away i have to turn my car off, open then close the door and turn it back on. In addition, none of my steering wheel controls work including cruise control and horn. Any ideas?

Get it scanned for codes and it's probably a cam/crank sensor. Test them first though before you start throwing parts at it.

Horn could be a fuse or relay most likely. Not sure your cruise control will work with the VDC and SLIP lights on either those are tied into your ABS too. So, when it sees the cam/crank messed up it usually sets those and disables/triggers other lights.

P0605 might be a bad ECU.
Try doing the ECU reset and see if that helps.

This guy seems to have the same issue and the reset helped

The "ECM reset" just resets your fuel trim. It's not like actually reinstalling windows 10 or anything like that.

@legendaryoutlaw do you have an aftermarket stereo installed. I suspect something is wrong with one of your body grounds and there's one directly behind the stereo that people will unbolt to make a new ground connection. You should also clean up your battery cables (both ends) with a wire brush and bolt everything back together.

I don't think this will affect the fuel temp code, that's typically a bad fuel pump. But it might be the ECM culprit.
