Aluminum Pedals?

I am about to buy a new car and have narrowed it down to a G35 6mt in Ivory Pearl with Stone interior with Premium and Navigation but I remember seeing early 2005 pictures with aluminum pedals shown. Does anyone know the story on them? Available or not? I figuire that they would ba part of the 6mt if at all.

I don't think they are available from Infiniti, but they are available as a relatively low-cost aftermarket item. The dealer may sell them too and you might be able to have them include them or give you a discount since you are buying a "loaded" car.

Have fun!

That's my nice thing for the day...

I think they come on the 6MT coupes, but not the Sedans. When I pick mine up, I am going to try and get the pedals thrown in as a bonus... Use the dealer survey as leverage.

So these pedals will fit on a 2005 5AT sedan? I was under the impression that the gas pedal wouldn't fit? That is the one thing holding me up from getting them.

Yes, they come with the auto coupe if you order the sports package. As for the 6mt coupe, they come standard because all 6mt have the sports package.

I never heard that.. interesting.. but if it fits on a 5AT coupe like ieatmangosnaked said, it would be hard to believe the 5AT sedan and coupe have a different gas pedal..

Yeah, www.infinitiparts.com says that with the aluminum pedal kit, there is no gas pedal for the sedans. I can't believe they wouldn't be the same. Actually, they look identical to the pedals I just sold from my 2003 Maxima.

A bunch of folks including me have installed the aluminum pedals in their 05 sedans, both 6mt and AT. The kit is the same for coupe and sedan, and there is a gas pedal. Extremely minor surgery is required for the gas pedal (you have to remove a clip from the stock pedal and put it on the aluminum pedal). They look and feel a lot better than the stock.

Great, I just oredered the kit. I can handle modding the gas pedal to fit no problem. I did the same when I put the pedals on my 03 Maxima SE. Sure didn't take me long to start the modding.
