Key fob problem
Key fob problem
The other day my battery cable came loose and the car sat a little bit with no power. No problem, i just put it back on and tightened it up. But since then my key fob hasn't worked.
i replaced the remote battery with a known good one. Didnt fix it.
i then did the key fob reprogram. It worked perfectly through all steps. Still wont do anything.
the car runs perfect and will lock and unlock with the door buttons.
any ideas?

I only have one key fob.
a little update. After doing the reprogram, it works while i am sitting inside the car but doesn't work as soon as i get out and shut the door.

Probably a bad fob, Dorman makes a replacement that looks exactly like the OEM but the fine print writing on the back is in English instead of Japanese, they're like $25 apiece.
Just to confirm, did you perform the final step to 'save the pairing', don't recall exactly but it was like unlock and open door, when the key is out of the ignition

FOB problems
I am used to leaving my FOB in my pants pocket. I approach my car and use the door button to unlock the doors, step in and start the car. Recently I noticed I had to slap my pocket a few times to make it work. Changed battery same thing. I also kept my wallet in the same pocket and finally realized if it was loaded with coins I had problems. Switched wallet to other pocket and problem disappeared. Hope someone finds this useful Love my G35x. Put 40,000km on it in 11 months since I bought it.
Same thing can happen with those new RFID blocking wallets. They will block the signal from your fob as well.
