03 G35 rear passenger window motor is going

Hey again,

Looks like the rear passenger window motor is going on this g35. When i tried to roll all the windows down it stopped i got it down eventually but it kept stopping here and there and at times i had to wait then try it again. Even when pressing the unlock button on the key fob the rear passenger is the slowest to go down. So, i'm guessing i need to replace it? I did replace the front passenger motor that was more or less a pain til i figured it out but for the rear do i have to do the same thing as the front? where i basically need to remove the interior, then the frame. window, motor and regulator to then swap the motor bolt on the motor and regulator to the frame put it back in then pop the window in? or is it different. I am really having a hard time finding a guide for the rear windows I found one in spanish that said 04 to 06 and it didn't look like it had a metal frame like the front so i figure 03 is probably the same.

I did see a guide before for repairing the motor looks to be a lot of de-soldering/soldering which i should be able to do. I did try to find a guide here or other posts but i'm sure i'm poorly utilizing the forum search function.

anyway should i take it apart and try to fix it? or can i fix it or should i get a replacement. I figure for the right rear motor it all looks the same has like a star type of motor wheel that plugs into the regulator?

Thanks for that guide page 94 is where it shows how to take it out. I took the trim and stuff off but didn't remove the window or the motor. I applied wd-40 silicone lubricant to see if that would help the window it being the slowest window i figured it just needed some lubrication also used electric parts cleaner on the connectors for the motor and such but still it exhibits odd behavior. I can get the rear right passenger window to go down if i use the fob and hold the unlock key. I cannot get it to come back up most of the time. but once I've brought it down if i go and put the key in the ignition and turn the car to on the window automatically goes up without me hitting the up button and then sometimes i can press and bring it down and perhaps up just very wonky and from what i can gather it means the motor is wearing out? at one point when fiddling with the window the switch for that door i was able to bring it down and up numerous times then it had stopped.

So, i replaced the window motor/regulator. Either i didn't understand the instructions or what but i didn't need to remove the window to swap the motor. I tried to remove the window and sash but couldn't. anyway new motor/regulator is in added extra grease and for the most part window is working faster and all but still have random intermittent connectivity where sometimes you'll press either the switch from the drivers or the switch from the rear right passenger and the window will not move. going to look at the documentation again see if i can try to figure out how and where to check for continuity and such. also i've tried following the guide to set the limit but can't get it to work like i've manually gone up and all the way down but when trying auto most of the time it goes all the way up then goes down a little. and its not the same as the front motors since there is no reset switch on it.

Setting the rear window travel limit is different than the front windows. I think you hold the window down button for more than 5 seconds after it goes down all the way, then hold the button up and continue holding for more than 5 seconds once it's up all the way. Don't let it click to the "auto" position on the switch you need to just use the first click which they call "manual mode".
