Just cleaned the maf and throttle body, relearned the idle, put new plugs and one new coil on my 04 6mt. Runs great now, except once in a while it just shuts off while I'm driving. Never had this problem before I did the plugs and the coil, given I've only had the car a few months. First time it happened I was in neutral sitting at a light, and it just shut off. Started back up no issue. The slip and VDC lights were on for a few seconds, but turned off pretty quick. Made it probably 200 ft and I was in second pulling away from the light ~2500 rpm and the engine tries to shut off, throws me forward in the seat pretty violently, but it caught and didn't totally stall. No lights that time. Checked codes when I got home anyways, nothing. Continued home and had no issues after. Earlier today was coasting to a stop light in neutral, and the engine just shut off. I don't know exactly when it happened because I wasn't paying attention and I had the radio turned alll the way up, but I tried to make a correction and felt I had no power steering. It cranked for a few seconds then turned on fine. No codes, no problem for the rest of the day. I could have missed the vdc and slip lights on that one, not sure if they ever came on.

Been looking at older threads and everyone who said that they had this issue and cam sensors fixed it had a code come up, and I've had nothing. Is cam sensors a safe bet or is there something else possibly happening?

Plug in an OBD2 scanner and check for hidden codes. Also check to make sure your battery connections are clean and tight.
