For about a week I started having issues with turning the car on. I would turn the key and the dash warning lights would come on but it would not crank till about the 3rd or 4th try then it’ll start. Finally when I was about to leave work one day I had the same issue only this time when I would turn the key to Acc no dash lights came on. There’s no crank or click but the battery is charged. Checked the voltage it’s showing 12.5V and the headlights work. Tried getting under and tapping the starter see if that would do anything but what I’m confused about is why I have no dash lights when I turn the key. Got a video so y’all can see. Any ideas?

You most likely have a defective battery with a dead or a defective cell?
How old is it?
How did you test it?
Use a battery hydrometer to test the individual battery cells.





The 12.5v that you read across the battery will most likely drop way down to 5v or lower when you attempt to start the vehicle which is why your dash lights go out..

 

That looks like a bad battery to me.

EDIT: Put it on a charger and see if it will take any more power.
