I have a g35 sedan automatic base model. My car wont start or turn over when the key is turned. I got a brand new battery that is fully charger and good to go, got it tested and its good. At first while i was driving a few dash lights came on and i lost power and it wouldnt accelerate. Its been sitting for a few months and Now it wont start or turn the engine over at all. B4 it would atleast start. I installed new crank sensor and both cam shaft sensors. Along with the knock sensor and knock sensor harness. And bought a new battery thats 100%. The dash lights up when i turn the key and everything works but when i fully turn the key to start the car the dash lights turn off and it makes 1 click then does nothing. But when i release the key the dash lights come back on. The key fob works perfect and the alarm comes on when i press the panic button. I've open and locked the door with just the key and still nothing. Im completely out of idea's and could really use some help. Thank you

 

Hopefully your engine isnt seized. But just to rule out a defective battery, I would try jump starting it from another car first. Its not that uncommon to get a brand new battery from the store thats defective.

If battery is confirmed good: Check the starter with a multimeter and see if its getting power when u turn the key.

 

Tried jump starting it and it does the same thing. Nothing happens. Im gonna check out the starter today. Thx

 

I had the battery tested and they said its 100% and fully charged

The enginr isn't seized up. It turns over by hand no problem

 

If the starter is getting power but isnt turning, then thats gonna be your problem.

The manager at the auto parts store went to hook up my starter on the test bench and she hooked it up wrong and it poped and started smoking so she gave me a new one. Just got it installed and the power wire that has the plastic around it was full of water so im heading to get some wire and connectors to run a new positive wire from the battery.

After running a new power wire to the starter the car started right up. But its still throwing the the slip and vdc off light are still on even after changing the knock sensor and harness. Idk what else to do. Any thoughts?

 

When i first start the car the vdc and slip lights aren't on but when i hit the gas to speed up they both come on and the car wont accelerate.
