I just purchased the car. 2003 g35
I was told it just needed spark plugs coil packs and a new battery. Got all that. Still no start. It’ll crank. But won’t start. Put the OBD On it and it throws codes for “lock mode” and the key chip can’t be recognized. I was told being the radio was taken out it put the car in anti theft mode. We added a new radio and now we can control the ac unit but the car will still only crank. Fuel pump kicks on. The windows won’t roll down, the sun roof won’t open. The head lights will come on but we can’t control them. HELPPP ME FIX IT

 

P1610 means you have tried to start the vehicle with an unregistered key 5 consecutive times and now the vehicle immobilizer is engaged. You probably also have a SOLID RED NATS LED on the dash when you try to crank the engine.

Get a locksmith to program your BCM to accept the key and it will work again.

This is all part of the vehicle anti-theft system that is triggered, this has nothing to do whatsoever with removing your stereo.

 

Would that cause my power locks and windows not to work? I can’t control my headlights nor blinkers.

 

Interior lights don’t work, power windows and locks don’t work, can’t open my trunk, can’t control the sun roof. But the dash lights are working ac is working and so is the radio.

 

So I gotta 2003 G35 sedan and I was drive and I was crusing in 3rd and it started to jerk bad and I stop and car shut off and I waited car started back up and I let it run and and then I drove it was fine and then it’s did it again and shut off and then I waited it started I let it run and I give it a rev and it would lag and then I just got it towed home and it didn’t start no more tryed to jump it nothing got a new battery and crank but doesn’t fire up did a compression test all piston were good and still the same thing I thought maybe the gas cuz the gauge doesn’t work and put gas and still just crank no start so went to change the fuel pump and I ran into an issue like this guy

Sounds like you blew a fuse, start at the fusible link slot F, then check the cabin Fuse Block - J/B.

 

There are 4 different pump configurations used on the G35, 2003-2004 sedan, 2005-2006 sedan, 2007-2008 sedan, and 2003-2007 coupe. Just gotta order the correct one, if you're having issues then work with a supplier that specializes in this platform like Z1 Motorsports or CZP or another Nissan shop like that.

Or convert over to a Walbro or other aftermarket. It's pretty straightforward you just need to drill out the siphon jet to get the pressure down to stock levels. Google search it.
