So my problem started when I was driving home then all the sudden when I shift from 3rd to 4th the second the clutch was pressed the car died but then when back to normal after I finished shifting. So I pull over turn the car off and and it doesn’t turn on. I get it towed home, I replaced the alternator and made sure my battery was properly charged, but whenever I put the keys in the ignition no power whatsoever, not even dash lights. I do some research and ended up finding out I blew the 100A fuse B on the positive battery terminal, and melted the connector to it. I’m hoping this was caused by the old alternator, any advice/ help while I wait for the new fuse and connector to arrive?
Fuse B doesn't feed the alternator, it feeds a whole bunch of other stuff in the fusible link.
I recommend removing those fuses F, H, J, K, 31, 32, 33, and 34 from the fusible link. Then install a new fuse B. See if it pops, then one at a time install the other fuses (don't do two at once) and see if it holds. You'll probably find in the fusible link that one of those other fuses are already blown, that's the circuit to troubleshoot.
Sometimes a downstream fuse doesn't blow fast enough and it ends up taking out the next fuse upstream as well, or the downstream fuse NEVER blows (or has been intentionally replaced with a piece of copper wire, basically deleting the fuse), automotive fuses typically have abysmal quality control. They only cost pennies to make, you get what you pay for.
