I have been trying to ask a question on here for days and I am hoping that this is finally the right way and my question gets heard and answered so here we go. Can I put bar's head seal through my reservoir on my G35 ? The reason I ask is because I smell coolant a lot and every week to week and a half my reservoir goes down big time and I top it off with coolant so someone told me I have a blown head gasket and to put bar's head seal in there but I know from the past once I open the cap on radiator I will be stuck burping it for 2 days and I want to avoid that. By the way I don't know what the attachment is below that apparently is included with this.

I had to look up Bar's Head Seal. Can you put it in? Sure. Is it the correct way to fix the problem? No.
Is the coolant smell inside the car or outside when you're near the front? Did you check under the car and under the hood (coolant hoses, water pump) for leaks? Is there any white smoke coming from the exhaust?

Steel Seal is supposed to be the best but you do have to flush the cooling system first. Blue Devil is also supposed to be good but can mess up the thermostat. They are stop gaps to buy you some time, I wouldn't rely on one to be a permanent fix.
