Slip and VDC after fun switch

Yo im back again, having a stupid moment again. So i tried to install a switch to the yaw sensor to cut power, the orange wire everyone knows about, i thought itd be a nice, easy 30 min job. Now ive turned into god knows what, i believe i blew a fuse or something, i have no power coming to the orange wire, i checked my ipdm and the 88# fuse is the abs fuse and its fine, i cant find any others that may be the issue, any help would be dope *cough* *cough* cleric

Are you sure fuse 88 in the IPDM has power? Do your windshield wiper and brake lights work? If not it's probably the main fuse in the fusible link. Does the engine run normally?

Also, there are multiple orange wires on the VDC/ABS control unit, iirc one is for a wheel speed sensor. This is why most folks opt to cut the wire and install the switch at the yaw sensor, that way you don't screw up which orange wire is which. Where did you cut the wire? What kind of switch did you use?

The system will only reset if you turn the car OFF once you have cut power, do you get a pulse of 12vdc on that orange wire when you turn the key to ON?

I did cut the wire are the yaw sensor, fuse 88 definitely has power, my wipers and brake lights do work, i cut the orange wire running into the yaw sensor, about half way in between the connector and the edge of the center console, i get no power coming from that wire while the car is running
Also i dmed you a message

This is the switch i used, i originally accidently hooked one side of the orange wire(the harness side) into the power connection on the switch, i hooked the other side of the orange wire into the ground connection of the switch, i hooked the ground cable into the accessory connection on the switch. This is the reason i think i shorted something, but i cant find any dead fuse and im not great at reading these older wiring diagrams/fuse charts

Backprobe pin 34 orange wire on the ABS computer and see if you have 12vdc with the ignition ON.

If you don't then backprobe pin 1 green/red stripe and see if it has power.

If you have power on pin 1 but do NOT have power on pin 34 you probably killed something inside that computer.

If you have power on both then the wire got damaged somewhere.

If you have power on neither then you probably need to find a better ground for your meter Alternately you can test for the 12vdc against the TCM/VDC computer grounds which are located on pins 28 and 29, both black wires.

I you still don't have power on pin 1 then you're not getting power from the IPDM.

Hey I'm in the same boat as you. Car I bought is not getting 12v to the orange wire, as the previous owner botched a fun switch. Both the slip light and VDC light are on. I've got continuity on the orange wire to the module, but still no voltage. I've checked all my fuses and everything prior to the VDC module checks out. I'm wondering if you replaced your VDC module and if it worked. Thanks

Could also be other speed sensor issues.
