Loud Engine noise 2003 G35

Any one knows the cause of this engine noise? It's been going on for approximately one year. No codes.See YouTube Video

Check to see if the fan is hitting anything.

I took your advice and investigated the fan. There's no indication of anything making contact with it.

Sounds timing chain related to me. I'd be surprised if it held up for a year slapping around like that, however.

I believe you're correct. Based on my extensive viewing of YouTube videos, it seems that the common issue with G35s is the breaking and shifting of the timing chain plastic guide(s), which then causes the tensioner(s) to extend either partially or fully. Despite this, I haven't encountered any error codes, and my acceleration remains relatively good.
