The Full Sized Spare is a real rim!

I was very impressed with this. (Mind you, i've had my 04 for a lil over a year now! ) I only realized it when I was doing my double DIN conversion. Anyone else surprised its a real 17 inch sedan rim?

I was not impressed-maybe I should have been. I peeked at the spare during one of my test drives so I knew it was a regular rim. It's been so long since I had a car with a full-size spare that I thought if it was full-size it would have a regular rim. Do other cars with full spares have a dinky rim?

The 05s come with the aluminum wheel if you get Premium C. Non-Premium C get a full size spare on a steel wheel if I'm not mistaken.

My 05 Premium C has the 17" aluminum wheel/tire for a spare just like the 4 that are on the ground.

I noticed it when I was doing the nose-to-tail when i was taking delivery. I was surprised (and happy) too!

GeeWillikers - - in your nose-to-tail examination, did you noticed if the spare has Tire Pressure Sensor on it?

Does anyone one know where to get a long extension for the valve on the spare. It is stored with the valve down and this makes it very difficult to check the pressure. Preferably, the extension would be long enough to enable checking without unpacking or even lifting up the 2 carpets and fiberboard.

Thanks.
