hey just wanted to share my excitment with everyone here. i just picked up an 05 g35x ivory pearl/stone interior. premium c, trunk mat, mud flaps i didnt even think i was going to get it today.. i got a great deal on the car. i did alot of research and with the help of so many people here i was prepared. so thanks everyone. i got the car for 33950. it was like 150 over invoice..the car no joke pulled into the lot while i was negotiating..and i didnt even ask for hte mud flaps. and i didnt pay for them but they were on the car so that awesome. so the car was done in two hours of me signing the papers. so popular consensus here seems to say to do my first oil change at 1200. and to not beat on it till then as well? i just hope the brakes dont dust as much as i heard the 03's and 04's did. thats such a pain in the butt to clean. but i will be otu there everyday anyway cleaning it im sure.lol. im really glad i can come here and tell everyone how happy i am. my friends were like shut the hell up..lol. thanks again for all the great information in forums and anyone contemplating getting the car, do it. its awesome.

Excellent choice. I love my G35X. It is so much fun to drive, I wish I had more time to drive for fun!

Don't beat yourself up if you let the first oil change go to 3,000 miles. Personally, I think changing it before then would be just throwing out perfectly good oil. Just my $.02.

Welcome from another new guy.

I got my X last Thursday ... and after 300 miles, the brake-dust gremlins have desposited their calling card on the front wheels. But that's okay, Saturday mornings are made for washing-waxing your car.

I was going back-and-forth thinking about the IP of DG ... and ended up getting the DG after seeing one all cleaned-up and sitting in the showroom. It was awesome. But the IP is another favorite color.

I'm going to stick with the 3,750 mile oile change & service routine for now. I did that with my Murano, and it worked well.

Congrats on the new 'X'. You'll love it. Some have done their first O/Change at 1200 others a little longer. In any case take it easy for the first 1200 miles to give parts a chance to loosen up.
