after the coupe mid pipe install...

I finally got the coupe mid pipe in and I can hardly tell the difference in sound, is this normal? I can only hear a slight difference in the 1-2000 rpm range. I guess I’m saving a lot in weight but that’s all.

It is pretty subtle, but you should really be able to tell at WOT. It should also be deeper in tone. Have somebody else drive it and listen outside, it's even better.

It took a while for me to notice it too and it was not initially as dramatic as what I thought it would be. Now I love it though. Wouldn't want anything more either, the other options (Stillen, Borla, etc) are just too loud and have too much drone. This is perfect.

Get on it more and maybe take a cruise in a parking garage to hear the echoes of it. Sweet.

What was the total cost of this upgrade? How was the installation? Looking at possibly doing the same to my 05 sedan.

Got any sound clips??? Pictures???

You mentioned that you also saved weight, was that significant?

Thanks guys...

Joe

It's a VERY easy self install. It cost around 100 if you can find one. It's lighter than the stock so its just better all around.

Answers to your questions including sound clips and pics are at https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/47509-finally-got-my-midpipe-highly-recommended.html.

I spent a total of $50.

Have you got a Z-tube on the intake?
It'll add to the sound.

I've been thinking about doing this mod as well. Can you buy these aftermarket or do you just have to come across one that someone is selling?

Could I order one from my dealer or is he going to rape me on the price?

thx
