My first Zaino experience was this afternoon. I have a Black 2005 and I'm amazed at how good it looks. I have read a comparision where it will tend to attract dust more than some other waxes. I live down a long gravel driveway so I'll find out pretty soon if this is true. This is my first Black car and when it's clean I'm so glad I made the choice. I also have purchased some P21S wax, so I'll give it a try at a later date.

Personally I use Klasse, but my understanding is that neither Klasse nor Zaino are technically "waxes" but rather clear acrylic coating thereby explaining their long lasting shine. True waxes IMHO are "deeper" in shine (esp on the dark colors, I have Ivory Pearl) and because of their need to be reapplied so frequently are probably best for concours folks or people w/ a lot more free time than I have.

I like the ease and simplicity of the Klasse AIO for that reason ie the lazy man's way out of the issue, also w/ the IP, the supposed improvement w/ Zaino is probably invisible to the casual observer.

If you're in socal, you can pick it up. They have a distributor in Santa Monica.

I used Maguires NXT wax on my black 350Z...

So easy to use and looks just as good as Zaino. For swirl mark removal, I prefer Wax Shop "Safecut". This stuff is simply amazing. I don't like putting 20 coats of anything on my cars so I really like the above products results..

depends on what you want to do with it

cleaner/wax, polish, swirl remover, cleaner, glaze, sealer?

how long do you want it to last?

how many steps are you willing to take?

are you using a buffer or by hand?

check out www.properautocare.com there is a multitude of products there, good descriptions and some tips

The best stuff I have ever used is Griot's Best of Show wax. The depth and clarity it provides is simply amazing. I've used several other brands (Zymol, Zaino, Meguiar's, etc.), but nothing comes close to the depth Griot's gives. To me, Zaino and other sythetics are just way, way too plastic looking and just seem cheesy to me. I prefer to see the color of the paint, not the color of my t-shirt in the reflection. That's what Griot's seems to give. It's shiny and clear, but it gives the paint a 3-dimensional look that none of the others seem to offer.

For "perfect shine" (synthetic/natural synergy), I'd use Klasse AIO (synthetic) topped with natural caranuba (Pinnacle Souveran for black/red cars, P21S for all others).

I highly recommend Zymol wax. It works great. Makes the paint look and shine like new.
