Question Oil change = engine smoking???

Today I got an oil change and had my "fuel injectors cleaned" at EZ lube. I noticed a bad smell on the freeway about a hour (~30 miles) later. I thought it was the old civic in front of me. I got off the freeway and pulled into a gas station to find out my engine was smoking

Is it possible they spilled oil somewhere in the engine and it's burning off?

I used to work at valvoline instant oil change and the 3.0 and 3.5 engines have a similar problem where if you don't put the oil stick all the way down when refilling the oil, sometimes oil will come out of the oil stick hole and leak onto your exhaust and smoke and smell.

Yea man, like bakedog said, sounds like they might have spilled a little oil on the headers, if it continues I would bring it to a dealer

I wouldn't have a place like "EZ Lube" screw around with your fuel injectors, let alone get an oil change from them.

thanks guys. Late last night I was inspecting my engine and noticed the oil dip stick wasn't in all the way

I went back to the shop and the guys that worked there were not very helpful. They didnt want me to give me a refund at first but supposedly I'll get a check from corporate "within 7 days"

I learned the hard way... I think I'll go to the dealer from now on

It actually says this in the owner's manual. Do not put in oil if the dipstick is not fully in. Speaking of dipstick, anybody get fired at Infiniti for designing such an idiotic dipstick? They should be.
