Finally got it home!!! :) (w/pics)

We have finally gotten the second car home. Here are a few quick shots we took when we got home. The DG is the first and the IP is the new one.

Is it supposed to be a "his and her" setup? Cause why else would ya buy two of the same car?

Because he likes them!

Look great - I'd be interested to read the compare and contrast of one year vs the other in back to back driving as you get used to having the new one in the drive.

Pros and cons of both years, seat of the pants impressions, etc..

Congrats!

Of course it is a his and her's. Actually it is a his, then she stole his and he got a new one. LOL! Works though - I wanted the '04 _not_ the '05 and he wouldn't stop lamenting about a manual. This is ALMOST the best of both worlds.

Besides, those of you who are old enough know, it's always more pleasant when your wife/significant other is happy.

Funny! I'm 5'6" and the hubby is 5'8". We both hit our heads when we sat in the back seat. Seeing as we have a son and I have siblings (3) all under the age of 17 which we frequently cart around - that was a less than appealing option. My sister is my height and my brothers are both about 5' and still growing (rapidly, I might add). Having, in some cases, 3 kids at one time - a coupe ain't gonna work! LOL!!

Both cars look great. The IP '05 6MT is exceptional, although I'm a bit disappointed that the husband reneged on his Wheat-is-for-losers rant. If you're gonna rant, you need to follow through. Otherwise it's just lunacy.

Speaking of lunacy, your neighbors will surely float that term around your house as they see two G35s parked there. Either that, or they'll assume you're both Nissan reps who tied for the yearly over prize.

Congratulations on the new car!

Although I don't consider the lack of follow-through on the rant to be lunacy, I might consider the purchase of the second car in that manner when I realize what we had to do financially to get it to work out. But that's what passion's all about, right? Sacrifice? I mean, my kid won't mind drinking koolaid. He likes it.

I would have preferred the Stone, but, it was hard to find. To give you an idea, we checked the inventory 3 dealerships in Alabama, 3 in Georgia, 1 in Tennessee, and 1 in South Carolina. *None* of them had the options I wanted, in any of my preferred external colors, with the Stone. Seeing as though the second-closest dealer had the exact car I wanted, minus the Aero and the Stone, and considering the fact that I wanted the car last week, we went with the "not quite as tacky as the Willow" Wheat

Oh, and there are some definite negatives to getting the second g.

First, I *just* tinted my 04 Wednesday. Now I have to do it again(as my wife looks on with a bemused smile).

Second, which of my keys on my keyring is for the 04 and which is for the 05? That's just kinda cool and irritating at the same time.

And lastly, and perhaps the most frustrating: I now have *no* money left with which to mod either car. Oh well.

Yeah, I also chuckled when I read he purchased a G w/Wheat. He could always rebadge the G with some 80s Cutlass badges!

PS: This message was posted by a Wheat lover....

Congrats on your new G. The IP looks badass. It's a shame the X doesn't come with those 18" wheels. I also love the way they look.

We're kinda in the same boat with my wife's little G20. My G35 has an identical ignition key to her G20 save one blingy difference: Hers has a gold Mt. Fuji logo, whereas mine is silver.

I gave her a hard time about her "ghetto" keys initially, but that stopped pretty quick when she pointed out (again) that my fob "sucks" and "came from your old Altima." At which point I cursed Nissan for hiding the Intellikey ball from me. Bastards. Would've been nice for them to throw us 6MT owners a bone and given us the cool fob at least.
