Anyone disappointed with their G?
Anyone else disappointed with their G?
Anyone have a flame suit I can borrow? I have one on, but doubling up might not be a bad idea...
Is anyone at all disappointed in their G decision? I'm asking because I am, and am wondering if I'm alone?
My particular car may be a lemon, but I've been unhappy with the transmission and front end flex, and consequently the overall "feel" of my car from day 1. It takes forever to downshift, upshifts slowly, and has a "wobble" in the steering rack over broken pavement like a '60's convertible. Admittedly, the several cars I test drove, rented, or had as loaner cars have all felt better, but I've brought it in 4 times, and always get the answer that "there's no code, so everything's fine". Of course, this leaves me less than pleased with the service experience.
When anyone asks how I like my car, My response ranges from "it's not nearly the car that my 4 year old Audi was" to "it's total junk". My experience with my car has obviously soured me. I may save $100 / month or so, but I kick myself for making that decision every day...
If I could be so fortunate as to have my car totalled, stolen, or lemon lawed, I would run, not walk to Infiniti's competitors.

My only regret is that I didn't get one sooner. This car meets or exceeds my expectations for a sport sedan. Din't consider any other car.

I love the car - it's everything I hoped it would be, but it's not perfect. No car will be perfect.
I have a couple of rattles that I'm going to get around to fixing. The paint is brittle just like everyone said it was but I knew that going in. The mileage is okay if I keep my foot out of it, unfortunately (or fortunately) that is very hard to do. I have the Bose reset glitch which is annoying, but I can live with it.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase. Definitely no regrets. I do wish some things were different. I think I'd feel that way about any car I owned.
I'm thinking of drowning my sorrows in a new set of wheels and tires. That should make me feel better. LOL..
Did I mention I loved the ride in to work this morning? Commuting (anywhere) is now one of my favorite pleasures.
ROAD TRIP!

ROAD TRIP!
I really do like my '04 A/T. The ride and handling are superb. The driver's seat however is a pure piece of crap. It's small, uncomfortable and HELL on a long ride. For long rides I would rather take my Miata or on not too long rides, my motorcycle works just fine.
The G may be special to us but to the general public it is just another car. I don't even try to wave, but will wave back if someone waves to me which has yet to happen. I had a 68 427 vette convertible which got numerous waves from fellow vette drives and thumbs up from many other drivers. Reason being it was a special car.
Love the car, 03.5 Premium, Areo, drives solid, looks great. Only regrets, I live in Canada where we get winters so I will be buying a awd in a year or so. I am tired of flipping tires, & I can not get a standard cuz the wife only can drive an auto, otherwise best car I have every owned.
Luv my G
I absolutely love my G...in fact every day I admit to myself how much I love it. To fix your slow shifts, install some grounding wires (i.e. Gord's 10-wire system). I did mine a month ago & all the delays in the shifting are gone! Very cost effective mod too.
